Film Name: 非诚勿扰3 / If You Are the One III
Last night, I went to see the last New Year’s Eve film of interest, If You Are the One III, and after watching it, I could understand why it didn’t do well at the box office and why the word of mouth didn’t work either.

The interesting thing about this setting is that the AI is used as a ‘shield’ to act as a buffer and self-questioning under the awkward situation between Qin Fen and Liang Xiaoxiao after a long time of reunion, so that many of the words that originally could not be said out of the heart can be indirectly expressed and transmitted through the bridge of the intelligent person, thus completing the interpretation of the love of this pair of wonderful people, and by the way, also scratch the itch of a part of the middle-aged and elderly couples. It also scratches the itch or pain point of some middle-aged and elderly couples.
However, the story of If You Are the One III is only ‘passable’, and the rest of the film’s impression on me is all bad minuses.
First of all, the red, green and highly saturated colour palette just doesn’t work. I don’t know if Feng was trying to use this prominent image to show off the technological aura, or if he was just chasing the trend and trying to appeal to the younger audience with bright and colourful tones, but in any case, this bold and different attempt doesn’t have any positive benefits, but rather looks weird.

If You Are the One’ is a film with a thin script, not to mention the love and relationships shown in it, its watchability and interest is largely supported by the writer-director’s ideas and Ge’s wit, if even this is not good enough, then there is not much to watch… …If You Are the One III doesn’t have any, it doesn’t have much.
Of course, this could also be a result of their lack of dedication to making this film, not a matter of ability, but of attitude.
But what if it’s just a case of not being able to do what you want, and you’re not able to do what you need to do?
Ge You, an actor with a natural talent and a sense of humour, not to mention that even when he gets old, he can still find his way into the theatre after making adjustments; Feng Xiaogang, a director with a poor reputation who relies solely on his work to speak for himself, would be completely doomed if he were to be at this level in the future.
But then again, maybe he doesn’t want to do that anymore, right? If You Are the One III’ at a glance did not spend a lot of money, it is estimated that the film can also make money in the end, and incidentally, then give people in Hainan’s industry exposure, with goods, why not do it.
